Macerated Strawberries

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Strawberries
  • 4 tbs Cocobrio Pure Coconut Sugar

Directions:

Stir the sugar and strawberries in a medium mixing bowl. Leave in room temperature for at least 30 minutes, until the juices come out. 

*Macerated strawberries can be refrigerated for up to 1 day. 

 

Traditional Gluten Free Belgian Waffles 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Gluten Free Flour (We recommend using King Arthur Gluten Free Flour Blend)
  • 3/4 cup Cocobrio Pure Coconut Sugar
  • 3 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup melted butter

 Directions:

1. Combine flour, sugar and baking powder in a large mixing bowl.

2. Lightly beat the egg yolks in another bowl. Add milk and melted butter. Mix well.

3. Add into the dry ingredients bowl and mix well.

4. Beat the egg whiles and pour into batter. Fold over batter.

5. Grease the waffle maker with Cold-Pressed and Cold-Processed Virgin Coconut Oil. Bake in a preheated waffle maker until golden brown. Bake approximately 5-6 minutes.

6. Sprinkle Cocobrio Pure Coconut Sugar on top and serve with macerated strawberries.

*Batter can also be used for pancake recipes as well
